About the Teacher

Sara Cluderay studied singing for six years with Chester based soprano Diana Palmerston.
She then trained for four years at Trinity College of Music, London with John Wakefield, and gained her Licentiate Diploma in Vocal Performance from Trinity College London.
She now studies with Jacqueline Straubinger-Bremar.
Sara has been teaching private pupils for five years. Sara taught singing and acting to young children at various Stagecoach Theatre Schools including Salford, Mitcham and Wimbledon, and taught singing at Jay Aston School of Theatre Arts, Bromley. She also worked as a visiting Singing Teacher at St. Joseph's RC Primary & Nursery school, London. Sara lectures in Musical Theatre at Morley College, and teaches singing for Pimlico Special Music and Belmont Preparatory School.

As a professional singer, Sara has performed extensively with pop band The Clint Boon Experience!, singing opera-style backing vocals. This included live gigs at major rock venues and festivals across the UK, and broadcasts for BBC Radio 1 and Channel 4 Television. Recent classical performances have included Haydn's "Creation" at the Anglican Cathedral, Liverpool, chorus in "La Traviata" (Verdi) at Dartington Hall, and the BBC SO John Cage Musicircus at the Barbican.Sara was a member of  the contemporary music ensemble Novitas for four years, performing at many venues including London's Arts Cafe, Corsham Festival and the National Portrait Gallery.
Recent appearances include Pegasus Opera at Hackney Empire, a recital at St. Martin-in-the-Fields and Cirque d'Hoffmann with Arkadia Opera Zirkus, touring the UK. She is a chorister at West London Synagogue, and has performed with the choir at Westminster Abbey, and as a soloist at Friends House London.
